Chapter 1215 - 46: Mirror World

"Huff... interesting."The man took a deep breath, greedily inhaling the blood-scent lingering in the air. Olivia’s presence was quickly dissipating; he had lost track of her. Luckily, he discovered another person whose bloodline also bore the fragrance of pure blood.

The sweet, pure blood scent filled his nostrils like honey, and the crimson in his eyes gleamed with excitement. The man began to move again, drawing closer to Bologue.

With each step that reduced the distance between them, Bologue’s sense of pressure increased steadily, like a spring compressed to its limit, ready to unleash its force given the slightest opportunity.

Ether surged along the ground beneath Bologue’s feet, abruptly emerging on the surface—a sharp rock spike rose from the earth, pointing directly at the approaching man. At that moment, the man’s footsteps halted, and the deadly tip hovered under his chin. A mere half-step forward would pierce through his throat and brain.

Bologue kept his gaze fixed on the man. It wasn’t that Bologue didn’t want to kill him; his command was interrupted. On the man’s exterior, a high-density ether layer surged, forming a natural defense. Any ether attempting to cross the defense would be easily destroyed.

The man glanced at the spike, still wearing a smile on his face—but beneath that deep smile, a terrifying sense of threat nearly solidified into tangible murderous intent.

He took another step forward, the defense layer overlapping with the spike, then the rampant ether obliterated the spike, leaving only dust in the air.

This time the man didn’t advance further. He maintained a perfectly measured distance, exerting immense pressure on Bologue while carefully observing him.

The two stared at each other, and although there was no direct communication, the man recognized Bologue’s face, and Bologue inferred the man’s identity from those crimson eyes.

"Mr. Bologue Lazarus?" The man said unexpectedly. "I didn’t expect to see you here."

Bologue was no longer the nameless figure he once was. Through the crucible of blood and fire, his infamous reputation was known to all, even the Regent King heard of Bologue’s brutality.

The man continued speaking, "Even more surprising is that you carry the scent of pure blood in your body—Serey Villeries’s blood?"

Bologue’s eyes flashed with annoyance. He still remembered the absurd squabble with Serey, and in the final confusion of the time axis, Serey used his own blood to concoct a "Serey’s Love" for him, to solve troubles.

Damned, Serey’s blood had already caused much trouble—with Olivia first, now this man...

Suddenly, Bologue laughed. Though it was troublesome, he felt grateful for Serey’s blood, which allowed him to bypass those troublesome processes and directly locate the root of the problem.

"Regent King?" Bologue asked tentatively. "I’m also surprised to see you here."

Looking up, the towering black structure was close at hand.

"Even more surprising is your active presence right under the Order Bureau’s noses," recalled the recent encounter with Olivia, Bologue continued, "Is Olivia worth taking such risks?"

The Regent King let out laughter but did not answer Bologue’s question, raising his right hand. Shadows began to writhe, forming a pure black blade in that ghastly hand.

Seeing this, Bologue decisively drew out the Grudgebite, gripping the deadly blade with both hands. As for the Vengeful Saw Axe? Due to its complex nature, without action, he stored it in a handheld case made of sealing metal, kept inside the Order Bureau. Thus, Bologue only carried the Grudgebite.

This was a blessing from Ewen; the blade was very stable and wouldn’t murmur heretical words near Bologue in frenzied battles, unlike the Vengeful Saw Axe.

Negative Power User against Seeker of Glory; the overwhelming disparity didn’t make Bologue despair. He maintained calm composure and then made a most insane decision.

Furious ether flooded the ground beneath Bologue, causing the earth to tremble momentarily.

The ground suddenly exploded, dust soared into the air as surrounding buildings shook with ear-piercing booms. A rocky formation, as high as many stories, erupted as if volcanic magma, thrusting fiercely into the sky.

The Regent King was engulfed by the explosion immediately, then hurled into the night sky by surging rocks. The stone pillars solidified, standing like giant stones on an ancient altar.

Bologue breathed heavily. His inclination was towards Infinite Sharpness, adept at precision command action, but such large-scale terrain alteration was taxing for him. Fortunately, his goal was achieved.

Cannot win.

Once realizing the Regent King wielded the power of a Seeker of Glory, Bologue knew he was doomed. All he could do was slow him down, draw the Order Bureau’s attention until our Seeker of Glory discovered the anomaly here and came to assist.

The field staff couldn’t be fools; they would certainly detect the ether reaction from his eruption, as well as the spectacle visible to the whole city.

Witnesses?

Such times Bologue couldn’t care about witnesses. The opponent was not only a Seeker of Glory but also the Regent King of the Rebellious Royal Court. Defeating him here was worth everything.
