Chapter 116: Telling Everybody That I'm Dead
Chapter 116: Telling Everybody That I'm Dead
Today is Huihe Jin Meiqi's last day of school. The school notified that parents must come to the school for a parent-teacher meeting after school.
I discussed it with Fushiguro Shinobu and decided that I would go to Tsumiki's school and Shinobu would go to Fushiguro Megumi's school.
Yumi Fushiguro had called her several times before to test whether she would change her mind, but was rejected by Tsumiki flatly every time.
This time she came in person and sat in the same restaurant where we met last time.
Yumi Fushiguro looked no different from the last time I saw her, except that the ring on her hand had moved from her middle finger to her ring finger, becoming a more sparkling diamond ring.
"I'm going to have a wedding soon," she said, "and here's the invitation."
She handed over an exquisite invitation along with a thick envelope.
"After I went back that day, I thought a lot."
Fushiguro Yumi lowered her head, her voice not as loud and bright as before, but much gentler, "You said you remarried for Tsu Miki, but you are actually deceiving yourself."
"I am a very selfish person. I wanted a better life, but I used Tsumiki as an excuse to get close to men who were better off than me."
She said, "Tsu Miki saw this, that's why she didn't want to leave with me, right?"
"No." I shook my head and said, "Tsu Miki never blamed you. She just felt that your life was good now and she didn't want to disturb you anymore."
"..."
She sat in front of me and was silent for a long time.
After a long while, he choked up and said, "Tsu Miki, does Tsu Miki think so?"
"Yes."
Yumi Fushiguro cried for a long time before she finally calmed down.
She picked up the tissue on the table and wiped her tears, saying, "The money in this envelope is my obligation as Tsumiki's mother to support her. Please don't refuse it."
Anyway, it's for Tsu Miki, so I'll just accept it and keep it well for him.
But, "What about this invitation...?"
My eyes moved to the invitation. The time was set for half a month later and the venue was a five-star hotel in the city. As for the invitees, it was blank.
It can't be as outrageous as giving it to Shen Er, right? Although it's just a marriage of convenience, but marrying your current partner and inviting your ex to watch the ceremony?
"It's for you." She smiled. "Although I've only met you twice, I'm very grateful to you for taking care of Tsu Miki."
"Besides, I have my own selfish motives involved."
She pointed at the words on the invitation and said, "It says you can bring an extra companion. Privately, I still hope that Tsu Miki can come with you."
"Of course." She reacted and quickly explained: "I understand whether she chooses to come or not. It's her freedom."
Then she added: "It's your freedom too."
I didn't agree to her right away, but just said, "I'll tell her about this, and she can decide the rest."
"That's good." She bowed to me again and said, "Thank you very much."

After the parent-teacher meeting, Tsumiki no longer had to attend classes.
Although she was a calm child, she couldn't help getting excited when she learned that the holiday was coming.
All around were primary school students who were on vacation, jumping around happily. For a moment, the air was filled with a happy atmosphere.
Then when I got home, I experienced what a polar reversal is.
It was afternoon, the window was not open, the door was ajar, and the light was dim.
Hui was standing there with her small schoolbag on her back and her head lowered.
There was no expression on his face, and it was hard to tell whether he was in a good mood or not.
But there was an eerie silence in the air.
Tsumeiki subconsciously walked over to Kei and grabbed his hand.
"What happened?" I walked over to Fushiguro Megumi, took off his small schoolbag, put it on the cabinet beside him, and asked, "Did something unpleasant happen at the parents' meeting?"
"Well, ah, not happy." Shen Er crossed his legs, snorted coldly, and said, "You ask this kid."
Tsu Miki pulled at the corner of Fukuro Megumi's clothes.
He pursed his lips, looked up at me quickly, and then lowered his head again.
"What's going on?" I was a little confused. I looked at Hui and then at Shen'er. I felt like these two were arguing over some kind of charade.
Everyone wanted to speak, but held back.
I sat down with a slight headache and asked the only adult present besides me, "What's going on? You tell me."
"At least we need to know where the problem is so we can know how to solve it."
"Humph." Fushiguro Shige sneered, "Solve? That's easy. This kid is telling everyone in school that I'm dead. How do you think this should be solved?"
. . . . . .
I think my brain shut down for about a minute.
I turned my head and looked at Fushiguro Megumi in shock, "Megumi, did you really say that?"
Fushiguro Megumi finally raised his head and said indignantly: "It wasn't me who said that!"
Then he added quietly, "It's just that I didn't deny it."
So you just let the rumor that your father was dead spread in your school...
"I scared a lot of kids to tears today." Shen Er rubbed his head irritably and said, "The teacher is still blaming me for not telling me if I'm not dead."
He turned his gaze to me and said quietly, "Tell me what we should do about this."
“Uh, hahahahahaha…” I laughed awkwardly twice, then changed my mind and asked, “Isn’t this wrong? Don’t you often take him to and from school? No one recognized you?”
The corners of Shen'er's mouth twitched, and his eyes wandered for a rare moment. "Every time I sent him to the intersection, he left on his own. When I came to pick him up, he would wait by the roadside. Who knew..."
Okay, okay, why don’t you say you are father and son.
It's not unfair at all that you died in this wave.
Think about the scene at Hui's school today - the teacher was announcing the summer vacation arrangements on the stage, and when he looked down, he saw that the late Fushiguro Hui's father had come to attend the parents' meeting, and there were several frightened and crying children beside him...
"Ah..." I sighed deeply, "Hui, why don't you deny it?"
He hesitated for a moment and said, "When my aunt dragged him home, he was almost dead. Who knows if he can survive."
The corners of my mouth twitched.
So to save trouble, you just treat him as if he died early?
Or is it that the child subconsciously believes that whether alive or dead, Shi Er will eventually abandon his son, so it doesn't matter?
"Aunt, Uncle Shin'er." Seeing that the situation was not good, Tsu Miki grabbed Hui's hand and whispered, "Let's do our homework first."
Hui glanced at Shen'er, then went around his legs and took the schoolbag away.
"Tsk." Fushiguro Shige became even more annoyed.
He walked to the refrigerator, reached in, and found that it was empty except for a bottle of mineral water. He turned around and asked, "Where's the stuff inside?"
I glanced at him and asked, "It was supposed to be your turn to buy it today. Did you forget?"
Shen Er: “…”
"It's all that brat's fault." He took out the mineral water, took a big gulp, and sat back on the sofa. "When he grows up a little bit, I'm going to give him a good beating."
"..."
Noticing my subtle look, he was puzzled and asked, "What are you doing?"
"At least you will consider that he can't be beaten now. We have to wait until he is older."
“……”Now it was Shen’er’s turn to be speechless.
He straightened up, opened the door, and said, "I'll go get some drinks."
