Chapter 512: Location Reveal
At some point, all of the fire-element energy in the cave was suppressed by the intense water-element energy released by the Hydra.
The Low 4-star Drake was no challenge for a Peak 4-star Spirit Hydra.
Even if the original terrain heavily favoured the Drake, not only was it an inferior draconic species compared to a Hydra, but the Hydra had swiftly transformed the battlefield into one that temporarily favoured itself.
In a normal situation, this terrain change might have been temporary because the climate here naturally favoured fire beasts. Given enough time, the environment would have gradually returned to normal, and the Hydra would have wasted a large amount of mana, potentially putting itself at risk of being killed later.
But here, there was no such concern, because Leo would simply unsummon it once the job was done. It could go all out without worrying about the future.
From the shadows, Lyswenna had also joined the battle, striking the beast with water-infused arrows. Even if their effect was minimal compared to the Hydra’s attacks, they still contributed something.
In contrast, Naelith was riding Nyxa and helping Leo collect the natural treasures. Since her attacks were mainly fire-based, they would only aid the Drake, so she refrained from attacking.
As for Leo, he was focused solely on cooling the upper surface of the lava so that he and Nyxa could walk across it and collect the natural treasures one by one.
As time passed, the Drake found itself on its last breath due to the Hydra’s relentless assault. Water and netherblight poison ate through its basalt shell like paper.

While collecting the treasures, he received a call from Dale through his jade slip.
"Sir Leo! I found a very good tree whose sap can be used to increase equipment quality, improve a fire user’s fire affinity when consumed directly, and more. From what I recall, it should be a Peak Blue Tier, perhaps even bordering on the Pseudo Purple Tier. But it’s guarded by an equally powerful beast—a four-legged behemoth variant," Dale’s voice came clearly through the jade slip.
"This is also the limit of how far I can traverse within this realm. I’ll be backing away and preparing to leave. I am destroying the jade slip so you can know the location. If you’re interested, do check it out. If not, there’s no problem. This jade slip will naturally become useless once we leave the city."
With that, Dale ended the communication, and the next moment, a rough location appeared in his mind map.
"A Pseudo 4-star treasure? Then the guarding beast should be at least High 3-star. He must have really pushed himself to find something worthwhile for me," Leo thought.
Dale was desperate to earn Leo’s goodwill, so it was natural that he would exert himself to find something valuable.
A moment later, he suddenly received a call from Aaron as well.
"Leo! These young masters from Ember City and the Valencrest Royal Academy students are gangbanging Ronan and me! We won’t hold out for long! Do take revenge for us! I’ll pay you with natural treasures at the banquet!"
With that, Aaron ended the communication. A loud bang echoed from the other side just before the connection cut off, and the location was revealed to Leo.
Looks like they were in a predicament just like Leo. Unlike him, however, they didn’t have the support of a superior draconic spirit beast that had nearly finished off the Drake by itself.
When the Drake was finally on its last breath, Leo stopped the Hydra just as it was about to deliver the killing blow.
He walked up to the beast and looked directly into its dimming eyes, now cooled by the torrents of water it had endured.
"Just your bad luck that I set my eyes on your treasures. Though I do wonder how much your body will sell for."
With that, Leo delivered a charged punch directly to the top of its head, crushing the brain matter within and killing it instantly.

Leo immediately felt power flood through his body. Since no one else could sense the boost directly, there was no outward phenomenon. However, the change in his presence was obvious enough that Naelith and Lyswenna instinctively looked toward him.
Leo set aside the matter of reviewing the systems notification for later and stored away Drake’s corspe in his spiritual space, the first fight. Last thing he knew it would be valued over 30 Million AC.
By now, the area had become so dense with water-element energy and mist that the elves’ clothes were soaked from merely standing there. Naelith immediately used the heat of her flames to dry both her and Lyswenna’s clothes so they wouldn’t appear indecent in front of Leo. Afterwards, she formed a wind barrier around them to keep the lingering water vapour away.
Leo had his spirit clothes and aura shield, so it wasn’t a problem for him. Nyxa was the same, and the Hydra was a spirit, making it unaffected as well.
Once again, the only troubled beast was Shyra. She immediately darted out of the cave to get some fresh air, only to be blasted by a wave of scorching heat.
She promptly ran back toward Leo.
Master Ice, Ice, Ice! Please use that evil squeaker’s skill on me!
Leo was already amused by how Shyra was always the one finding herself in these situations, but he still applied [Iceveil Hide] to her.
The moment the skill took effect, she happily darted back out into the heated environment.
After that, Leo didn’t linger any longer and headed directly toward Aaron’s location, which was approximately half an hour away if he travelled at full speed without stopping.
He needed to take revenge on behalf of his academy’s mates.
Nice! I will finally have the chance to teach that slut a lesson for real.
