Chapter 1587. Reviewing With the Primordial Palace.
Chapter 1587. Reviewing With the Primordial Palace.
Yasenia glanced at the twenty-seven rooms spread out around the Primordial Palace with intrigue. It was not her first time here, but without much time to look around, this was her first time truly taking everything in.
The massive pillars, vast space, and elegant yet ancient doors leading into the crystals. The Primordial Palace was the most mystical and amazing location she had visited in her life. What was most special was that, when looking at the ceiling, there was nothing but a cosmic spectacle there.
The ceiling, even when the stairs at the far end indicated a second floor, looked like a gorgeous universe unfolding and shrouded in a mysterious ancient energy. Clear yet blurry. A spectacle that made Yasenia sigh from how magnificent it was.
“This place is truly magnificent.”
Her fingers traced the surface of one of the columns as she walked a circle around it. The giant structure, while it wouldn’t be able to house her true self, was large enough to make her feel like an ant visiting a human palace.
“Say, Primordial Palace. You are quite a high-quality treasure, right? So, you should have a Treasure Spirit. Do you think you can show yourself in front of me… or am I just unqualified to see it yet?”
The eccentricity of top tier treasures became clear to Yasenia after interacting with Mirrory. If it weren’t because of Angel’s influence and Tatyana also getting close to her, Mirrory would’ve probably felt reluctant to even show herself unless absolutely necessary.
It was a funny thing. Mirrory was… a very neutral existence in Yasenia’s life. While lately, she had been showing signs of getting closer, her attitude had not been very pleasant, yet not over the top.
“How to say it… Mirrory is what a true ancient senior would usually be like?”
Tatyana’s outwardly playful but inwardly cold nature, Valeria’s warm personality but somewhat clueless self… Yasenia had been accustomed to seniors showing quite a lot of individuality until Mirrory, an absolutely neutral existence, appeared. Plus, at first, Mirrory was clearly reluctant to admit Angel as her new Master.
“...Well.” Yasenia scratched her cheek slowly as she walked toward one of the rooms. “It was clearly my fault. I acted quite… arrogant back then, didn’t I? As a third-realm cultivator, I challenged a former Saint… Ak! So embarrassing!” A faint blush from second-hand embarrassment appeared in her cheeks.
She even secretly mixed her Blood Essence in the ritual, creating unknown changes. If Yasenia had been the one getting screwed, the culprit’s life would not have been guaranteed.
“Ahem. Alright, let’s not linger. I really want to see if I truly adapted to the previous stages, so I will start from the beginning in all paths. The problem is… Is it best to check in path order or level order?”
Yasenia pondered, and her question was actually answered by the Primordial Palace. It opened only the first three doors, those for the first level of the spiritual, soul, and body paths.
“Oho, so I need to check in level order. Thank you~.”
She stepped into the first room and checked the bright red crystal room. This room was as ethereal as the rest of the palace. The cosmic surroundings, the strange, ancient energy leaking from the floating crystal, and the white ground that felt like neither dirt nor marble…
“It’s… comfortable. Strangely soothing?”
The atmosphere was one where you could enter a meditative state by just closing your eyes.
“Alright. Let’s check once more the Mortal Shackles, Soul Palace Surfacing, and Skin Shedding levels.”
Yasenia sat cross-legged, and as she glanced at the red crystal, her mind and body entered a meditative state.
While she didn’t gain new understandings, Yasenia was able to make her already realized understandings much more profound. In the Skin Shedding level, Yasenia even managed to make a faint breakthrough, transforming her skin to not only become resistant, but also elastic and pliant at will.
It was something that she could do before, but now the ease for such things was to the extent of a single thought.
She guessed that the reason was the Molting Pearl she absorbed back in the Dragon Paradise.
“Alright, next.”
Spiritual Awakening, Soul Expansion, and Bone Carving.
These three paths were simple, so there was nothing new to understand within them. Like previously, her understanding of these paths deepened, but there was no large breakthrough.
“Still…” Yasenia checked the movement of her energy with her eyes closed. “It is… very slightly easier to move energy?”
The sensation was vague, but certainly there. Yasenia moved on to the most recent level.
Essence Refinement, Soul Refinement, and Viscera Reforging.
The third level of the sixth realm in all three paths was straightforward as well. A transformation of energy into one closer to that of Heaven, using Heavenly energy to refine the soul, and finally, another painful strengthening of her inner organs.
In Yasenia’s case, due to her previous unevolved Primordial Energy Core, she managed to use her own energy for this step. Now that the Primordial Energy Core transformed into the Primordial Starheart, she could re-refine her soul, energy, and body to a certain extent.
Again, the change was not large, but these subtleties were what would allow her to exert herself at 110% when needed.
Yasenia stretched her body, checking how much time had passed outside. “Let’s see… Oh. Two and a half years?”
A sense of bafflement surged inside her. For her, it felt like a little over three weeks, yet almost three years had passed. Her lips couldn’t help but twitch. She grumbled as she glanced at the Primordial Palace. “It is because of this that I don’t use you often! Just a review has taken me three years! How can one live like this? In the future, I will blink and one hundred years will pass!”
If the Primordial Palace could talk, it would complain that Cultivation was originally supposed to be like this. Who is crazy enough to rush through the realms like Yasenia? Contemplating Heaven and advancing in cultivation was not like drinking water until one was full!
Yasenia decided to get out for a bit. After all, three years was quite a bit of time. Moreover, her baby boy might hatch at any moment! If she missed the birth of her first son, Yasenia might truly cry her heart out.
Thankfully, nothing odd happened outside. Flora and the others had already returned with Kali’s treasure, and Kali was currently fusing with that shard and the shard Yasenia brought from Yan Huang’s shop, the Blue Pearl World’s Flame Emperor.
The girls noticed that the turbulent energy stopped gathering toward the center of the large lake, so they knew that Yasenia had stopped. Evelyn appeared in front of her first, followed by the others. “How is it?”
Yasenia smiled. “I just finished reviewing a few things. I will begin cultivation seriously after staying with all of you dears for another while.”
Evelyn and the others didn’t show any sign of surprise. They were also Sixth Realm cultivators practicing three paths. Therefore, they knew very well just how long it took to comprehend things and improve.
Moreover, all the girls had their own inheritances, which further slowed down their cultivation speed in exchange of strength. Andrea spoke with a smile. “Still, I can’t believe how… rich your Yang Energy is. Just three years and I managed to almost break through into the Fourth Level.”
Evelyn agreed with a smirk. “After almost melting our brains with sheer euphoria, I had not expected any less! It’s truly quite crazy.”
Yasenia blinked and walked around them, sniffing their bodies. The girls were a bit bewildered, but they allowed their dragoness to sniff around.
“Hm… you’ve already absorbed everything? My scent in your bodies is faint.”
Kali chuckled and smiled faintly. “We are your lovers, Yasenia. We’ve practically been raised by your Yang Energy. Our bodies absorb your Yang Energy better than Heavenly Energy.”
Yasenia smiled, her eyes gleaming with happiness. “Really?”
Kali nodded and was hugged by Yasenia. Her heart trembled. “Y-Yasenia?”
Yasenia’s eyes shone. “Since that’s the case, I will make sure you all have quite a lot of reserves for a while!”
“W-Wait!”
Yasenia and Kali disappeared, and the other girls glanced at the empty spot with twitching lips. Angel, her face flushing, stuttered. “I-I will go do some mental preparation.”
The last time, Angel, buried in Yasenia’s flesh as she had her soul almost pounded out of her body, couldn’t move properly without feeling pleasure for almost two weeks after the fact. Not even using one of her strongest trump cards placed such a strain on her body!
The other girls, thinking that Angel’s words were not wrong, also decided to stop training and meditate to prepare mentally.
Tatyana chuckled, a faintly perverted smile grazing her lips. “Hehe… pent up release again… hehehe…”
The maids made their best efforts to ignore the drooling, red-eyed woman. They absolutely refused to admit that the perverted, drooling woman was their respected Death Empress!
About three months later, and leaving behind a twitching Tatyana, Yasenia left all their rooms feeling refreshed and stretched. “That was nice…”
The maids looked at the rooms that had yet to be opened by even Kali, and they took out a few recently concocted Yin Replenishing Pills, walking inside. They were quite sure that their madams would need them.
“Alright, back to cultivating!”
She re-entered the Primordial Palace and went to visit the new paths. “Hm… the ones I need to do now are…”
Spirit: True Spirit Embodiment
Soul: True Soul Projection
Body: Marrow Ascension.
Yasenia hummed. “The fourth level is quite a jump in strength, right? Fourth, Seventh, and Half-Step. These levels bring about the same improvement as the previous three levels combined.”
“Which one do I start with?” It was a bit of a dilemma. “Marrow Ascension might be the best to start with.”
With that decision, Yasenia moved toward the fourth room and noticed that the yellow crystal from the third room was now green in color. “Red, orange, yellow, green… It follows the colors of the rainbow… but there are more levels than colors. Why is that?”
She didn’t linger here much and quickly began her mediation. Unlike the Soul and Spirit paths, practicing Body Cultivation usually requires meditating in movement. Using martial art stances and rotating through them to grind energy in her body, and using these movements to strengthen the body and ensure energy is absorbed into the muscles, organs, and bones.
Yasenia, in this regard, was a bit special. Thanks to Dramel transforming into a harmonizing link between her dantians, Yasenia could practice Body Cultivation even with simple meditation.
After all, all her paths were linked and advanced at the same time, the Beast Path included. “Regardless, the best way to meditate for just the body path is movement meditation, so I should follow that.”
After changing to comfortable, loose robes, Yasenia took a deep breath and began her movements. “Marrow Ascension, here I come!”
