Chapter 50: Here to smash the place?

"Cough, cough, cough." A man dressed in tattered clothes, hunched over, leaning on a cane, wearing a cloak with the hood pulled up over his head, coughed as he stepped into the gate of Yongrentang. Chuyang saw him and immediately went over to ask, "Uncle, what's wrong?"

"I feel terrible! Cough cough cough cough..." he said, coughing again.

"Please come this way, our leader is inside." Chu Yang gestured for them to proceed, and the person leading the way walked on, completely unaware of the unfriendly look in the eyes of the person behind them.

"Master, someone's here." Chu Yang said softly as he lifted the curtain.

Liu Ruxuan was writing something and said without looking up, "Okay, come in."

Chu Yang led the man in and had him sit in the chair opposite Liu Ruxuan's table. Liu Ruxuan handed Chu Yang a piece of paper with a written note: "Chu Yang, prepare two copies for me according to this. Go now, I'll need them later."

"Okay." Chu Yang took it and went to get the medicine.

Liu Ruxuan then looked at the patient who had come in, and even though he was dressed like this, she didn't look down on him: "Uncle, stretch out your hand."

He slowly extended his right hand and placed it on the table. Liu Ruxuan moved the pulse-taking pad under his wrist and began to take his pulse.

Liu Ruxuan placed her right hand on his wrist, but after only four pulse beats, her wrist was twisted and held in place. He pressed on Liu Ruxuan's pulse in the same way he was taking her pulse. Liu Ruxuan was shocked, but she did not show it.

Suddenly, a surge of spiritual energy, not her own, flowed from her wrist. Liu Ruxuan remained calm; this person was trying to test her strength! Instantly, Liu Ruxuan channeled some of her spiritual energy into her right hand and began to counterattack. Taking advantage of the moment the spiritual energy surged out, Liu Ruxuan swiftly pulled her hand away, but her opponent hastily struck out with a palm, forcing Liu Ruxuan to exchange blows with him.

Ultimately, Liu Ruxuan's abilities were insufficient. This palm strike forced her and the chair she was sitting on to retreat simultaneously. The chair, unable to withstand the ravages of spiritual energy, shattered into pieces. Liu Ruxuan, however, reacted swiftly, immediately standing up: "Who are you!"

"Little girl, I thought you were so powerful, but you're nothing special!" The other person stood up unhurriedly and straightened their back.

"Are you here to cause trouble?" Liu Ruxuan looked at the person in front of her, who seemed utterly unfathomable.

"Don't misunderstand, I just came to take a look." Ouyang Zhengde took off his hat and looked around.

"I think you've come with ill intentions!" Liu Ruxuan frowned, staring at Ouyang Zhengde.

"Don't get excited! I just want to understand, young lady, you are so young, who is supporting your huge Yongrentang? And where did you come from?" Ouyang Zhengde walked around the table and came to Liu Ruxuan.

Feelings are used to test someone's character; it's terrifying.

“Yongrentang was opened based on its own strength, of course. As for where it came from, I'm afraid you wouldn’t believe me even if I told you,” Liu Ruxuan said with a hint of amusement.

"Tell me about it." Ouyang Zhengde was almost there.

"Master Ziyan." The four words were softly uttered by Liu Ruxuan. But those who heard them were not calm.

Ouyang Zhengde took two steps forward, grabbed Liu Ruxuan's neck with one hand, and ripped off the veil from her face with the other. He wanted to see what kind of woman dared to use Master Ziyan's name!
