Chapter 19 Fair Distribution
Chapter 19 Fair Distribution
After wiping away a bunch of medicines, Qiuhe's body was covered with many bandages. Peruvier just stared at Qiuhe quietly, and even reached out to pinch Qiuhe's cheek: "Hmm, your face is still soft, it's not badly injured..."
Qiuhe smiled helplessly and didn't say much, but Peruvier leaned on Qiuhe's shoulder. Her voice was a little low: "Why did you go to buy a cake when you were injured? Was it really that important?"
Qiuhe was silent for a moment, then answered seriously, "Because we are friends."
Peruvieri frowned slightly, her tone tinged with doubt: "Would a friend insist on buying a birthday cake for another friend when she was covered in injuries and every step was excruciating?"
Akikawa was momentarily speechless, unsure how to answer. Peruvé was right; if they were just ordinary friends, there was no need to go to such lengths. Even with the closest friends, one should prioritize their own safety and health.
Qiuhe fell into deep thought, recalling scenes from his previous gaming experiences. In the game, when describing a deity as infinitely benevolent,
It is often said that this deity deeply loves his people, cares for every subject, and is willing to share that love with everyone. After a moment's hesitation, Qiuhe said softly, "Perhaps... it's because of love."
Peruvieri's eyes trembled slightly, as if she had heard the answer she wanted, and then she said softly, "But you, don't you have Clévy? Why are you still..."
Akikawa hesitated for a moment before slowly saying, "Love can be shared. I will divide my love fairly between the two of you." Peruvée was speechless after hearing this.
He simply asked softly, "Can love be shared?" Peruvée didn't fully understand love, but she knew what love was.
She knew this love wasn't maternal love. In her understanding, there were only two kinds of love: maternal love and the other she had seen in the storybook Clover had read before.
Akikawa grasped Peruvier's hand and whispered, "Yes, I also said I would distribute love fairly among you."
Upon hearing this, Peruvieri gently nestled her head closer to Akikawa's chest and softly hummed in agreement. She had already decided in her heart that she was willing to share Akikawa's love with Clément.
Then she said, "I want to sleep." Qiuhe smiled and replied, "Okay," and then tried to get up.
Thinking that he should go back to sleeping on the floor and let Peruvier sleep there, but before he could even stand up, Peruvier grabbed Qiuhe's arm with one hand.
Akikawa was also very confused by this scene. She didn't know what Peruvéli meant, and Peruvéli didn't say anything, just kept holding her. Akikawa didn't know how to ask.
The two sat there quietly. Peruvier blinked every now and then, as if he had something to say but didn't. Qiuhe wondered if he was making him guess.
Then, Qiuhe tentatively asked, "How about I sing you a song?" After he said this, a glint of light flashed in Peruvier's eyes, and she nodded slightly.
Qiuhe was at a loss for words as he watched this scene. He had only asked tentatively, but he couldn't sing either. Then, something seemed to flash through his mind.
He realized he had indeed sung for a girl. He recalled her, watching her sleep in bed while he sang beside her. He tried to see her face, but just like before, he couldn't make it out clearly.
He tried hard to recall the song, and after a while, he began to softly advocate:
"On a certain day of a certain year, by some unintentional chance, a young man gracefully descended upon the world."
"A world of a water-blue planet~. Our first meeting, blushing, eyes wide open~. Roses and glass slippers cannot represent the prince's love." As Qiuhe sang, Peruvée slowly closed her eyes.
Seeing that Peruvieri had fallen asleep, Huanhuan carried him to bed, tucked him in, and whispered, "Sweet dreams." She had just gotten up when she heard a knock at the door.
Qiuhe went to open the door and found Claire standing there, holding a pillow. Claire initially had a smile on her face, but when she saw Qiuhe, she noticed the bandages covering his body.
Some of the gauze was still stained with blood. Claire stared blankly at Akikawa, finally asking with a mixture of despair and concern, "Does it still hurt?"
Seeing Clementine's worried expression, Qiuhe smiled and said, "It's alright, it's all taken care of. It doesn't hurt anymore, Clementine, so don't worry."
Looking at Peruvier sleeping on the bed, Claire understood that it must have been Peruvier who had been taking care of Akikawa.
"Is something wrong with Clementine?" Qiuhe asked casually. Clementine was fine, except that she had been sleeping with Qiuhe and Peruvier all the time.
I find it hard to fall asleep when I'm alone, so now it's Akikawa lying in the middle, Peruvier on the left, and Clévi on the right.
Akikawa glanced at Peruverie, who was already asleep, then at Clementine, who had a smile on her face and seemed to be awake.
Qiuhe wondered if entering the consciousness space would disturb them, and finally slowly closed his eyes, preparing to enter the consciousness space again.
But then Peruvier gently took Akikawa's hand, and Akikawa felt the tenderness in her hand. Seeing that Peruvier was still asleep, it seemed that it was just an instinctive reaction to hold her hand.
Akikawa held Peruvier's hand silently, then slowly closed his eyes again, preparing to enter the space of consciousness. He concentrated and entered the space of consciousness once more.
But when he slowly opened his eyes, he found himself still in his room. He didn't understand what had happened. He had been fine before, but when he looked to the side, he saw himself lying next to him.
Qiuhe sat up instinctively, but made no sound so as not to startle Krevy. She simply stared at her own body, unaware of what had happened.
Then, as if remembering something, he looked at his hands and clothes and realized that he was inside Peruvieri's body.
Moreover, she was controlling his body. Qiuhe slowly sorted out his emotions and thought carefully about what had just happened. Could it be because Peruvieri had grabbed his hand earlier?
So, he subconsciously possessed Peruvée's body, and then Akikawa closed his eyes, trying to see if he could enter the space of consciousness.
Feeling her consciousness flowing through space, Qiuhe thought she had succeeded. But when she opened her eyes, she found herself no longer in her own consciousness space.
He then noticed a crimson crescent moon hanging high in the sky above this space, and he saw Peruvier sitting on the ground, her entire body and the area around her engulfed in endless flames.
Peruvée saw Akikawa but seemed not to recognize her. "Who...are you?" Akikawa swallowed hard at the bizarre and terrifying scene, slowly walking forward. "Peruvée...are you alright? Why are you surrounded by flames?"
As they approached within a certain range of Peruvée, flames suddenly surged towards Akikawa, their ferocity resembling a gigantic fire dragon poised to engulf her.
Qiuhe was stunned by what he saw and stood frozen in place. When the huge ball of flame crashed down, Qiuhe jolted awake, his forehead covered in large beads of sweat.
Akikawa gasped for breath, glancing at Clementine beside him, who was already asleep. Looking at Peruvier beside him, he noticed her expression was one of intense pain, her teeth clenched tightly.
Furthermore, Akikawa noticed that the blackness on Peruvier's hand was spreading towards her arm, and it had already reached her wrist, spreading at a speed that was even visible to the naked eye.
Akikawa was also incredibly shocked by what he saw. This afternoon, when he gave Peruvier the cake, he noticed that the black stains on Peruvier's hands were slowly fading from his palms to his fingertips.
Akikawa wondered if something had happened in Peruvée's consciousness space. Not daring to linger, he closed his eyes and instantly returned to Peruvée's consciousness space.
When Qiuhe opened his eyes, he saw Peruvier sitting on the ground in agony, covering her head and crying, "Why, why did you come back!"
Without much thought, Akikawa charged towards Peruvée, and at that moment, flames swept over again. This time, Akikawa caught the raging fire head-on.
Despite being engulfed in flames, Qiuhe did not retreat and continued forward. "Go quickly, don't come back!"
"What a joke!"
How could I possibly watch you suffer so much alone here?
Qiuhe took a sudden step forward, advancing against the raging flames. Every step he took was so difficult, as if he were walking on a knife's edge.
"I said I would share my love with each and every one of you, so I won't leave you here alone to suffer."
"If it has to be this way, then I'll endure the despair of being engulfed in flames with you!!!"
Qiuhe cried out as he lunged forward, embracing Peruvier in the center of the flames. "It's alright, everything will be alright, don't be afraid, I'm here. I'll always be with you, through thick and thin, I'll be there for you."
"So, don't be sad anymore." Qiuhe gently stroked Peruvier's head, her voice soft and carrying a gentle smile.
At this point, Peruvieri stopped crying and her face showed signs of pain, and the surrounding flames slowly turned into small flames that swirled around her.
Peruvelli hugged Akikawa tightly, nuzzled her face against his chest, and slowly replied, "Mmm."
At this moment, the blackness that was spreading from Peruvée's arm to her fingertips slowly receded from her outside consciousness, and her expression softened considerably. Meanwhile, Akikawa beside her...
At this moment, he seemed to have fainted and was no longer responding.
