Chapter 2 Scum and Planning
Chapter 2 Scum and Planning
If the American Dream had a more specific name, it would be Santa Barbara.
If you can find an area in America with plenty of public restrooms, good security, and no homeless people, that's Santa Barbara.
This was such a low requirement for later China, but it was a very high threshold in America.
Santa Barbara accomplished what Los Angeles and New York couldn't.
This is one of the most popular retirement destinations for wealthy Americans. Nestled at the foot of the St. Ines Mountains and facing the Pacific Ocean, it boasts a beautiful coastline of approximately 20 kilometers, making it the longest south-facing coastline on the American West Coast outside of Alaska.
Ernst's home is in Montecito, Santa Barbara, one of the most famous affluent neighborhoods in California and even the entire United States.
Located north of Los Angeles, less than a two-hour drive away, this place is a favorite among Hollywood celebrities.
Even with Ernst's income, which isn't low, buying property in Montecito would still be a huge financial burden.
This villa was left to him by his cheap father, accounting for one-sixth of his inherited estate, and is now worth about five million US dollars.
Back in Montecito, Craig was dismissed by Ernst before he could even enter the door.
He needs the other party to investigate and find out exactly who tripped him up.
It's easier to see the King of Hell than to deal with his underlings, and since the other party is hiding in the shadows, Ernst has to be on guard.
Our ancestors always said, "Never fight a battle you're not prepared for," but he's not the same fool he used to be.
"What a scumbag."
In his study, watching the videos saved on his computer, Ernst, while appreciating them, couldn't help but curse them as beasts and scum.
Although the male protagonist in the picture is "himself" and he has accepted this body, he is still shocked.
This guy is actually a great photographer, and the key is that his specialty is photographing animals.
Whips, collars, writing instruments—these are all too low-class.
This guy would actually tie these girls up, hang them in the air, and then subject them to endless torture, taming them like dogs amidst their sobs, and then torturing them again.
According to Ernst's observation, all of these women were young girls around twenty years old, many of whom should be around 18.
Even now, Ernst felt extremely uncomfortable seeing all this.
"Treatment, making money."
After watching a few videos, Ernst took out a pen and paper and wrote down these two words.
After thinking about it for a moment, I added a question mark after "treatment".
Because he realized that after watching for so long, he had no reaction at all.
Ernst didn't know if it was because the original owner had already adapted, or if he had been frightened at the hotel.
This is a very critical issue that must be identified and resolved as soon as possible.
Ernst took out his phone and dialed a number that came to mind.
The call was answered quickly, and the two chatted for a few minutes before hanging up.
"I'm not here to be a slave; I'm here to enjoy life. Fame should come early, and making money is very important."
"However, making money is not the goal; the goal is the enjoyment that wealth brings."
After thinking for a moment, Ernst wrote the three big words "Internet" on the paper.
It was June 1996, and the internet revolution had begun. Next came the blowing of bubbles; Ernst wanted to create the biggest bubble ever to present to the American people as a welcoming gift.
Two months ago, Yahoo officially went public on Wall Street, with its stock value reaching $5 million on the first day of trading. However, Yahoo's revenue last year was only $130 million, and its net profit was a loss of $63.
Those internet giants that would become household names in later generations were either newly established, still searching for a way out, or had not even been established yet.
I imagined myself standing on a TV show, speaking eloquently, and becoming an admirer of countless geniuses. I felt a strange sense of excitement.
"What a wonderful era! Is there anyone who understands the future of the internet industry better than myself?"
Some things have to be done by someone else, so why can't it be me?
If that money can flow into other people's pockets, why can't it be in your own?
If those women can climb into other men's beds, why can't it be yourself?
Howard Hughes has been dead for over two decades, and America needs a new Aquaman.
Which man wouldn't want to be Hefner or Joseph Lau? Tens of thousands of women—how many days does a lifetime amount to?
Ernst once again wrote the word "Media" in large letters.
The right to speak is very important and must be firmly held in one's own hands.
Ernst wrote down his future plans and some major events, and in order to avoid being discovered, these notes were recorded using special methods, like a codebook.
Ernst originally wanted to use Chinese, but after thinking it over, he felt that Chinese was also unsafe.
In the free and open United States, burglary is commonplace, and even wealthy neighborhoods are not immune.
If these things are ever stolen, it would be too easy to find someone who understands Chinese.
So Ernst used Chinese and English coded language, scribbling random text like discarded scraps of paper. Interspersed within these notes were various numbers, the corresponding text being the information that needed to be preserved.
It wasn't until his stomach started growling that Ernst realized he hadn't eaten all day.
Upon entering the kitchen and opening the refrigerator, Ernst realized that his top priority was to find a nanny.
The original owner was incapable of cooking; he spent his days indulging in pleasure outside, and his refrigerator contained nothing but alcohol.
Ernst, however, cannot cook, and Wang Xing is his deliveryman.
"Let's order takeout, we'll be consuming a lot of energy at night."
After making the phone call, Ernst went into the bathroom to wash up.
Looking at myself naked in the mirror, my figure and appearance are truly impeccable.
He was about 1.85 meters tall, with a muscular build and sharp features.
The facial contours are highly three-dimensional, with a full forehead that slopes slightly backward and prominent brow bones that rise like hills. This makes the eyes appear deep-set, and the eye sockets seem to have natural shadows, adding a touch of mystery and profundity to the eyes.
The bridge of the nose is high and straight, and the jawbone is angular and has strong lines.
Capitalists don't usually have obese members; if they do, it's because they have a bad back or kidneys.
Women burn far more calories every day than they do at the gym, so why would they need to work out? They simply don't have the time.
After a quick wash, I felt much refreshed. Just as I was about to pour myself a drink, the food delivery arrived.
"American Chinese food, it's really damn authentic."
When Ernst called, the other party assured him that it was absolutely the most authentic Chinese food. Since he didn't know what they had, he asked them to prepare a few of their specialties.
Looking at the food on the table, Ernst said he didn't recognize any of it.
Sesame chicken, tangerine peel beef, and a mixed shredded vegetables dish.
Ernst had heard of General Tso's Chicken. The delivery guy just told me that this Sesame Chicken is the same thing as General Tso's Chicken, except one is spicy and the other isn't.
After deep-frying, stir-fry with sauce, arrange broccoli around the outside of the plate, and finally sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Ernst took a bite and was certain that this Chinese food was learned from a McDonald's chef.
"Ding-dong".
The doorbell rang again, and when Ernst opened the door, it turned out that the late-night snack had arrived.
"Honey, I never expected you would call me."
What came into Ernst's view was a delicate and pretty face, with a sweet appearance and a full head of blonde hair. The beige coat made her skin look even whiter.
After the other person entered, they opened their coat, revealing only a sexy lingerie underneath.
She has a voluptuous figure and skin so tender it looks like you could squeeze water out of it.
Very sexy, incredibly hot.
The other person's eyes held a hint of resentment, but after Ernst took her hand, they became incredibly alluring.
Naomi Watts, Ernst never expected that the female lead of King Kong would also be one of the fish in his pond.
To confirm his health problem, Ernst ordered her dishes.
"You haven't eaten yet?"
Seeing the food on the table, Naomi asked a question.
"I haven't eaten, but I obviously have better food now."
He swept her up in his arms and carried her to the bedroom amidst her unrestrained laughter.
