Chapter 147 Jealousy of her son, shameful
Yan Zuozuo was taken aback and looked towards the voice. She saw a man with a full head of white hair and sharp eyes standing there mockingly. It wasn't that he was old; it was probably just a personal preference that led him to dye his hair all white. He looked to be no more than thirty-five or thirty-six years old. He wasn't particularly handsome, but he possessed a unique and captivating aura.
Yan Zuozuo felt that this person looked familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had seen him before.
The man stepped forward, deftly pried open Qi Jia Hui's hand, and said with a half-smile, "It's pathetic for a man to have fallen to this level. Are you sure you want to continue making a fool of yourself here?"
Qi Jiahui gritted his teeth in hatred, but the man's strength was obviously very heavy, and he knew he was no match for him. He glared fiercely at Yan Zuozuo and left.
"Thank you." Yan Zuozuo smiled gratefully. The man in front of her looked very familiar, so she said, "I don't know your name yet."
The man stared intently at her face, a strange undertone in his eyes. "You are Yan Zuozuo."
Yan Zuozuo was taken aback: "You know me?"
The man laughed heartily: "You're the first person to refuse to be my assistant; I remember you very well."
"Ah, you are..."
The man waved his hand: "Just call me Fisher, don't add 'Master' to the end, it's annoying."
Yan Zuozuo suddenly realized that Lu Yaoyuan's personality resembled someone else's; it really is true that like master, like disciple.
She smiled gently: "Alright, Mr. Fisher, are you new to S City? Have you looked around yet?"
Fisher was surprised. Most people who heard his name would either admire and worship him, or be infatuated with him. This little woman, however, seemed to have some charm. He opened his mouth, just about to invite her to be his tour guide, when his phone rang. He sounded very impatient, saying a few words to the person on the other end of the line in a irritated tone, and then said goodbye to Yan Zuozuo.
"I'd love to have you as my tour guide sometime, Yan Zuozuo. I'll remember you." With that, Fisher left.
Yan Zuozuo looked at his back and felt a strange, indescribable feeling in her heart.
When she got home, Chi Moqing hadn't returned yet. She poured herself a glass of water, then, remembering her two little ones, quickly called Chi's mother, "Mom, are the babies alright?"
Chi's mother said with a smile, "They're so good! They eat and sleep, then eat and sleep again. Your dad wanted to tease them for a while, but they wouldn't give him the time of day. They're really something else."
Yan Zuozuo laughed out loud after hearing this, and Chi's mother said, "The little one is drinking milk right now, I'll video call you to see."
Soon after, Chi's mother sent over the video. Yan Zuozuo touched the little one's face, feeling even more homesick. Even though they had only been separated for a day, she couldn't wait to see them.
So he said, "Mom, I'll be over in a bit. I'll have dinner at your place tonight."
"Alright, alright, be careful on the road," Mrs. Chi instructed.
Yan Zuozuo put on her coat and headed outside. As she walked out of the residential area, she suddenly looked back and felt as if a dark figure had quickly darted away. She frowned slightly, wondering if it was just her imagination, but she thought she saw Mu Yaoqian. She quickly chased after the dark figure, but couldn't find anyone.
Was she hallucinating?
Because she was in a hurry to see her baby, she didn't take it to heart.
Upon arriving at the military compound, Yan Zuozuo hugged and cuddled the two little ones, clearly adoring them. Seeing her arrive alone, Chi's mother couldn't help but ask, "Didn't Mo Qing come with you?" These two are always inseparable; why are they traveling separately today?
Yan Zuozuo smiled and said, "He hasn't gotten off work yet, so I came over first."
Chi's mother chuckled softly, "That's how it is when you become a mother; you miss your child terribly if you don't see them for even a short while. I'll call Mo Qing and ask him to come over for dinner tonight."
"Okay." Yan Zuozuo kissed the little guy on the forehead and went to the kitchen to help.
When Chi's mother asked her how her first day at work went, Yan Zuozuo couldn't help but think of Chi Moqing's childishness, and nodded and smiled, "It was fine."
"That's good. Now that you're working with that kid from Yaoyuan, keep an eye on him when you have time. Speaking of which, it's Xiaoran who's held him back. Keep an eye on him if he finds a good match." Chi's mother couldn't help but sigh when she talked about Chi Ran and the Lu brothers.
Yan Zuozuo smiled and said, "I know, Mom. Don't worry about it. Children and grandchildren have their own blessings."
Upon hearing this, Chi's mother joked, "You speak differently after having a child."
Yan Zuozuo blushed and heard the sound of the door opening at the front door. It must be Chi Moqing who had arrived.
Seeing her impatient look, Chi's mother chuckled, "Your body is here, but your heart has already flown away. Go quickly, don't get in my way."
Yan Zuozuo's face flushed, and she ran out quickly. She saw Chi Moqing standing at the door in a suit. Because the door was not closed, the petals in the yard were blown down by the wind, and the green leaves set off his tall and proud figure, making him look even more beautiful.
Both of them had children, but Yan Zuozuo's heart was beating very fast at this moment. She pursed her lips and looked at his affectionate eyes, her face immediately turned as red as if it could bleed.
Chi Moqing walked closer to her, kissed her on the cheek, and mischievously bit her little ear, "Do you think your husband is so handsome that you're stunned?"
"No way!" Yan Zuozuo was startled and stared with her big, round eyes as she retorted. But Chi Moqing clearly didn't believe her. He reached out and hugged her, planting a passionate and wild kiss on her cheek, a kiss that carried a hint of punishment yet was tender and lingering.
Yan Zuozuo was breathless from his kisses and instinctively reached out to push him away, "You, you stop... Mom is still here..."
Chi Moqing glanced at his mother, who was standing at the kitchen door with a half-smile, and hummed, "Why didn't you wait for me? You came by yourself."
His deep, pleasant voice made Yan Zuozuo's heart tremble, and she stammered, "I just missed my son."
President Chi was even more annoyed: "I knew I'd been neglected since you had a son."
Huh? President Chi's voice sounded mournful.
"Aren't you ashamed to be jealous of your son?" Yan Zuozuo looked at him with amusement.
"Because you're my wife." Chi Moqing wasn't embarrassed at all, a handsome smile appearing on his lips. "From now on, you're not allowed to come see those two little ones alone without me by your side."
Yan Zuozuo's face darkened. Was President Chi going to take his possessiveness to the extreme?
However, she didn't find it annoying at all; in fact, she enjoyed it.
Seeing that she wouldn't agree, Chi Moqing became unhappy and snorted, "You are my wife, you must love me wholeheartedly, and you can't share me with anyone else." As he spoke, he also hugged her possessively, making Yan Zuozuo want to cry but had no tears.
"Did you take a taxi here?" Chi Moqing asked as he sat down on the sofa with his arm around her.
Yan Zuozuo nodded and leaned against him, completely relaxed.
Chi Moqing paused for a moment and then said, "There are still some spare cars at home. I'll assign you a driver so you can go wherever you want."
"No need, I can easily take a taxi."
"We have to use it. The murderer hasn't been found yet. What if something happens?" Chi Moqing gently stroked her face and said softly, "Even if it's just to put my mind at ease, okay?"
Yan Zuozuo thought about it and agreed, nodding in consent.
Chi Moqing pulled her outside, saying, "The lotus flowers in the courtyard are all in bloom. Let's go for a walk."
"Huh? No, I still need to help Mom prepare dinner." Yan Zuozuo resisted, but Chi Moqing pulled her outside without saying a word.
On a clear autumn day, Chi Moqing and Yan Zuozuo strolled hand in hand through the courtyard. They didn't talk much, but it was precisely in this tranquility that the atmosphere felt even warmer.
A faint scent emanated from Chi Moqing. Yan Zuozuo looked up at him, her face flushed. Even though she had two children, she still felt a sense of romance when she was with Chi Moqing. Could this be considered having a strong girlish heart?
"Aren't you busy lately?" she asked.
Chi Moqing smiled faintly and pulled her into his arms. "I've been relatively free lately, but I might be busy again in a while, and then you'll be all alone again." His tone was apologetic. "Zuo Zuo, I'm sorry, marrying me will either make you worry or leave you all alone."
Yan Zuozuo felt a warmth in her heart, smiled and shook her head, saying, "Work is important. I'm working now. If you're too free, I'm afraid you'll think I don't care about my family."
Chi Moqing hummed softly, muttering something under his breath. Yan Zuozuo didn't hear clearly, but she nestled her face against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. It was just like that that made her feel at ease.
Chi Moqing gently stroked her long hair with his large hand and said affectionately, "Your hair has finally grown long."
Yan Zuozuo looked at him in surprise: "So you like me with long hair?"
"I like them both, but I like you better with long hair." Chi Moqing said, his eyes full of doting affection.
Yan Zuozuo suddenly discovered that this man was hiding many secrets, such as being childish and domineering, liking long hair, wanting a daughter, and being very jealous...
What could she do? She just loved Chi Moqing like this. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with affection.
As the two walked slowly forward, Yan Zuozuo suddenly remembered meeting Fisher earlier that day and excitedly brought it up with him.
Unexpectedly, President Chi looked displeased and glared at her, asking, "You think he has a lot of charisma?"
Yan Zuozuo nodded, puzzled, and the next second she was kissed by Chi Moqing. Their tongues intertwined, and only then did she belatedly realize that someone was jealous again. She found it amusing, but still enjoyed the kiss.
Chi Moqing kissed her deeply; the kiss was so sweet and fragrant, he felt he could never get enough of it. Only when they were both breathless did he release her, then he felt his behavior was childish and couldn't help but chuckle bitterly.
"I think I'm getting more and more jealous," he said, holding her close, his voice full of distress. But it wasn't entirely his fault; since his wife gave birth, her figure had not only returned to its original state but had become even more stunning. Every gesture she made exuded a mature and sexy charm that made him unable to resist her every time.
Yan Zuozuo nodded, feigning reluctance, "I think so too."
Sure enough, the next second she saw Chi Moqing's dissatisfaction, and he lightly bit her little nose, "That's too much."
Yan Zuozuo laughed heartily, then wrapped her arms around his neck and said, "But I like it."
When Chi Moqing saw her playful expression, he said in a deep and magnetic voice, "Zuo Zuo, I will cherish you for the rest of my life."
Yan Zuozuo was stunned by those words for a long time. What did she do to deserve such a gentle, considerate, handsome, and wealthy man making such a heartfelt confession to her?
She smiled and said, "Chi Moqing, I will cherish you for the rest of my life."
Chi Moqing smiled, put his arm around her, and was about to walk home when his phone rang. It was his assistant calling. He told Yan Zuozuo to wait for him while he went to the side to answer the phone.
"President, we have almost gathered all the evidence, and we are just waiting for your order."
A subtle glint flashed in Chi Moqing's deep eyes as he lowered his voice and said coldly, "I understand. Let's leave it at that for now."
