Chapter 130 Undercurrent
Chapter 130 Undercurrent
"Vista, the three-day period is up. Shouldn't you give me an explanation by now?!"
Asya roared angrily through the Romani tribe, the great axe in his hand gleaming coldly in the firelight, making him appear exceptionally majestic.
His black minotaur body exuded a strong sense of oppression, clearly indicating that his dissatisfaction with Bista had reached its peak.
"I've told you eight hundred times, I didn't kill your two idiot subordinates, are you never going to let this go?"
Bista showed no fear, his face bearing a faint chill, his aura remaining calm and composed, as if this was nothing more than a childish argument.
"Bullshit! You think I'm going to keep this up? Then how do you explain the presence of your monkey-faced clan's footprints at the crime scene?"
Asya was aggressive and relentlessly targeted Bista.
He clearly wasn't going to let this opportunity slip by and wanted to push Vista into a corner.
"That footprint is mine, but I was just passing by and happened to see something interesting, hehehe..."
Bista sneered, his eyes full of mockery and disdain, as if watching a boring drama.
But in Asya's view, these words were undoubtedly a blatant provocation.
"What did you see?" Asya's voice was low, as if he was suppressing his anger.
“Why should I tell you?” Vista retorted without backing down.
"You fucking...you're asking for death!" Asya's anger erupted instantly, the muscles on his face twitching slightly, clearly he was furious to the extreme.
"Want to fight? Come on, who's afraid of who!" Vista was not to be outdone, his spear flashing in his hand. The tension between the two powerful figures instantly filled the air, and the air itself seemed to be thick with the impending conflict.
Just as the two were about to clash, Romani, seeing this, quickly stepped in with a smile and acted as a peacemaker.
"Hey, you two bosses, let's talk things over. Don't ruin the harmony of our lineage!" Its voice was very gentle, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.
“Heh, I can speak properly, it’s just that some people seem not to understand me…” Vista’s tone was sarcastic, clearly indicating that his dissatisfaction with Asya had reached its peak.
"Hmph! Vista, stop with the sarcastic remarks! If you don't explain yourself clearly today, I'm not done with you!" Asya roared, his eyes still blazing with anger.
"look……"
Before Vista could finish speaking, Romani chuckled and pulled him aside, interrupting him. He knew that if Vista said another word, the two would definitely start fighting.
"Well then, how about this, I'll act as a mediator and we can have a proper talk," Romani tried to smooth things over, a glint of shrewdness flashing in his eyes.
“Boss Monkey, just tell Old Ox what you saw. He lost 60 Azure Flame Vermilion Fruits, and coincidentally, there were your footprints at the scene. It’s understandable that he’s a little angry!” Romani continued, trying to defuse the conflict.
Seeing his anger gradually subside, Vista also planned to back down, but a hint of reluctance still showed on his face.
"That day I was exploring near the wetlands when I heard the sounds of fighting coming from the lake. I went to check it out, and by the time I got there, your two stupid bulls had already been dealt with."
Then I saw the human survivor cover up the bloodstains with my own eyes. Only after that person left did I go up to check the situation, which is why there are my footprints.
"Why didn't you stop the murderer? Why didn't you take back the Azure Flame Crimson Fruit?" Asya's anger was reignited, his eyes flashing with fury, finding Vista's indifference unbelievable.
Upon hearing this, Vista sneered, completely unconcerned, and said, "What right do I have to owe you? Besides, I didn't even see any Azure Flame Vermilion Fruit!"
“You…” Asya was speechless with anger, cursing Vista’s ruthlessness and selfishness in his heart.
"That settles it, it's all out in the open!" Romani remained relaxed, as it was none of his business anyway.
"No, I don't believe that treacherous old monkey. We must find the murderer and confront him face to face!" Asya's voice was firm, clearly not intending to give up so easily.
"Don't push your luck. How the hell am I supposed to know where the murderer is?" Vista retorted coldly.
"Hmph! Feeling guilty now, Lao Luo? Look, it's probably the murderer!"
A sly glint flashed in Asya's eyes as he tried to provoke Besta into going with him to the depths of the clouds his men had previously discovered, where he suspected the real culprit was.
Little did it know... Vista was right there waiting for it!
"You're talking nonsense! If you knew where that human survivor was, I'd come and confront you!" Vista's voice was cold and unyielding.
Asya smirked, "What a coincidence, I actually know!"
A few days ago, my men discovered a strange place, not far from the large lake. I think if the human survivors you mentioned really exist, then they should be there.”
Bista's face was ashen, and he looked somewhat anxious, remaining silent.
Seeing this, Asya's laughter echoed in the air, as if the trumpet of victory had already sounded. "Let's go, you said it, face to face!"
"Fine, I'll go! Who's afraid of you!"
"Old Luo, are you going or not?"
"I'm not going. I have things to do here. You two calm down!"
Asya then left Romani's house.
Besta looked in the direction Asya had left, a barely perceptible glint of joy flashing in his eyes, and then followed him out.
After the two left, Romani's lips curled into a cold smile, and a sinister glint flashed in his eyes.
"Hmph!" he muttered to himself, seemingly filled with anticipation for what was about to happen.
Back in the inner room, Romani quickly took out a pen and ink and began to write a few lines on the note.
His handwriting was fluent and powerful, exuding confidence and cunning. After finishing, he carefully slipped the note into a small bamboo tube, his movements swift and practiced, as if it had all been planned all along.
Next, Romani tied the small bamboo tube to the leg of a bird that looked like a pigeon, and carefully checked it to make sure everything was secure.
Then, he walked to the skylight, gently opened the window, and released the bird. With a clear cry, the bird spread its wings and soared into the sky, quickly disappearing into the blue sky.
"You dare steal my mysterious skeleton? You probably don't know who I, Romani, am?! Hahahaha..."
Romani's laughter echoed in the empty room, filled with smugness and provocation.
He knew that a huge uproar was about to erupt in the area, and he would reap the benefits, becoming the mastermind behind the farce.
Secretly pleased with himself, he began to imagine what would happen next, and his smile grew increasingly sinister.
"This area will soon be my Romani territory, hahahaha..."
