Chapter 272 Golden Egg (2)
Chapter 272 Golden Egg (2)
"Go on, sweetheart." Tom approached again and hugged Lamia in front of everyone. Although Lamia was very resistant now, she could do nothing.
"That's all," Lamia said.
"Not yet. You didn't mention anything about our next plan." Tom didn't intend to let Lamia go. He looked at the three stunned people and smiled cruelly.
"Since she's so shy, let me make it clear. Lamia is my fiancée. I hope no one will harass her again, otherwise..."
Tom's eyes suddenly became fierce as he looked straight at the stunned Harry. It was obvious that he already knew Harry's feelings for Lamia.
"Ah, so why didn't Lamia mention this before?" Ron said loudly, pushing Harry in front of the two of them, as if asking Lamia to choose between them. "And I don't think Lamia likes being so close to you."
"Shut up, Ron!" Hermione almost jumped up. She never thought Ron would be so stupid and impulsive.
Of course, they could all see Lamia's rejection of this man named Tom, but at the same time, although she rejected him, she did not push him away. This was enough to explain Lamia's meaning. Moreover, judging from the fact that this man could easily conjure up a sofa, none of them could do it. His magic level was far above theirs.
"Why? Lamia obviously prefers to be with us." Ron didn't know what medicine he had taken wrong. Even though Hermione winked at him frantically, he remained unmoved.
"Really? I didn't know my fiancée didn't like me." Tom laughed out loud, revealing a mouthful of cold and sharp teeth, which was enough to make them shiver.
"That's not what they meant, Tom." Lamia squeezed out of Tom's arms and stood between them, isolating the chill and allowing Hermione and the others to breathe a sigh of relief.
Lamia did this because she felt the murderous intent coming from Tom that was hard to ignore. He actually wanted to kill Hermione and the others just because of a few words.
"So what do they mean?" Tom's rough fingers pinched Lamia's chin, forcing her to look at him.
"They're just a bunch of stupid Gryffindors, Tom. How could you not know my feelings? We are going to get married, aren't we?" Lamia sighed imperceptibly, suppressing the resentment in her heart.
"It better be this way, otherwise I might not be able to help myself." Tom accepted Lamia's explanation with a snort.
The three people opposite were simply stunned. They had never heard Lamia speak like this, and to a man at that.
The saddest one among them was of course Harry. He never thought that Lamia would personally admit her relationship with another man, and in this way.
"Why don't we go to the prefect's bathroom together? It is said that there are not many people there. Maybe we can find out the secret of the golden egg today." Hermione's sudden words broke the silence between the few people. It must be said that the change of topic was very abrupt, but Hermione had no other choice.
"Okay, I think so too. This is more important," Ron responded.
Harry nodded silently as well, and everyone's eyes fell on Lamia and Tom.
"That's fine with me," Lamia said.
But Tom remained silent. He looked at Lamia expressionlessly, and the situation became tense again.
"Tom, will you come with me?" Lamia asked.
"I'm afraid I can't. I haven't got time," said Tom, but he would not let go of Lamia's waist.
Lamia sighed softly and placed a light kiss on Tom's cheek, "Is it okay now?"
"Of course, sweetheart, if you get into trouble, feel free to call me." Tom said, and then he stroked Lamia's head with his palm, turned around and turned into a green mist and dissipated.
After a long time, Lamia was finally sure that Tom had left completely, and then she turned around to look at the three people who were already speechless.
"Ask whatever you want to ask later. The golden egg really needs to be solved." After saying that, Lamia picked up her golden egg and walked out the door first.
"Wait for me, Lamia." Hermione was the second to react and hurriedly chased after him. She hesitated and didn't know how to start, and several strands of her hair were pulled out.
"What do you want to ask?" Lamia asked again. Harry and Ron also followed at this time. Although the four of them were not shoulder to shoulder, they could hear what each other said.
"How did you meet him?"
What Lamia didn't expect was that Harry was the first to ask a question.
"We've known each other for a long time." Lamia didn't explain clearly. She didn't know how to say it. They wouldn't believe the truth.
"Earlier than us?" Harry continued.
"Yeah." Lamia recalled that she did meet Tom on the first day she came to this world.
Harry's expectations were dashed and he reached the end in disappointment.
"Lamia, do you have any difficulties?" Hermione finally asked her question. She could not feel any love from the two of them, only strong possession and fear.
Lamia's movements slowed down. Hermione's words reached her heart. "I can only say that this is what I want to do, Hermione. I have no choice."
Lamia turned her back to the three of them and said what had been weighing on her mind for a long time.
"Then why didn't you tell us earlier? Why didn't you run away?" Harry seemed to be suddenly activated, and his words did not consider Lamia's feelings at all.
"I can't escape, Harry. I tried my best." Harry's words undoubtedly dragged Lamia back into the painful memories of the past. She was thinking about escaping all the time, but in the end, Tom came to her again, and this time she had no way to avoid him.
As they chatted, they came to the prefects' bathroom Harry had mentioned earlier. Harry found the door next to the statue, just as Cedric had told him, leaned in and whispered the password: "Fresh pineapple."
The door creaked open.
Lamia, Hermione, and Ron followed Harry into the room.
Although they were not in a good mood, they were still shocked by the scene before them, especially Harry, who was the first to step into the room.
His first reaction was that being a prefect wasn't bad at all; the mere fact of being able to use the bathroom was worth it.
Lamia also felt that this was one of the things about Hogwarts that made her happy.
A luxurious chandelier lit with candles cast a warm, soft light in the room. Everything was made of snow-white marble, including the central sunken bathtub, which resembled a rectangular swimming pool.
Around the edge of the pool were about a hundred golden taps, each with a handle inlaid with a different colored gemstone, and there was also a diving board.
The windows were hung with snow-white linen curtains; a pile of fluffy white towels sat in one corner, and the wall contained only a single picture in a gilded frame.
The painting shows a blonde mermaid, sleeping soundly on a rock, her long hair brushing against her face, trembling slightly with every breath she takes.
"And what did Cedric tell you, Harry?" said Hermione.
"I don't know, Hermione, he didn't make it that clear," said Harry, walking inside.
