Chapter 271 Golden Egg (1)
Chapter 271 Golden Egg (1)
When Lamia woke up again, she found herself in Tom's arms. He was exactly the same as before, still so annoying.
"Tom, what did you do to me?" Lamia struggled to shake her body, but it was in vain.
"Nothing, I just missed you." Tom placed a kiss on the top of Lamia's head and then put her down. "Don't be so mean to me, Lamia."
"Then don't come with me, leave me alone." Lamia said without hesitation. The next second, she saw Tom's aggressive eyes. "I mean, we should give each other some private space. Even the closest couples should have..."
Before Lamia could finish, Tom loosened his grip on her hand. "Well, that's right. I should give you some space, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let you spend the whole day with someone else."
"Then what do you want to do?" Lamia asked suspiciously, holding the golden egg tightly in her arms.
"Nothing, I just need to be with you." Lamia paused, holding the golden egg, and then walked ahead on her own. "Then I hope I can have a say in my own affairs."
When Lamia and Tom arrived, only Harry was there, with a golden egg of the same size placed beside his legs. The difference was that Harry's expression was very heavy, especially when he saw Lamia and Tom together.
"Lamia, you're here. Hermione and Ron will be here later. They have other things to do today." After a while, Harry spoke first.
Harry originally wanted to take advantage of the time when Hermione and Ron were not there to ask Lamia about Tom's background, but he didn't expect Lamia to bring Tom with her. Harry suddenly lost the courage to continue asking questions.
"It's okay, Harry," Lamia said.
"Harry? Are you Harry Potter?" Tom suddenly raised his head and stared at Harry and asked. His expression was so serious that even Lamia started to look serious.
"That's right, sir," Harry said hesitantly. He was waiting for Lamia to introduce herself, but she didn't move, so Harry had to answer himself.
"So—why don't you start now?"
Just when Lamia thought Tom was going to say something excessive, he said nothing but just turned his head to look at Lamia.
"Not everyone is here, sir. We have to wait until everyone is here." Harry said stiffly. He looked no better than Lamia, or even worse.
Tom stopped talking and just looked at Lamia, as if waiting for her to introduce herself, but Lamia didn't move.
Lamia didn't introduce Tom to Harry until Ron and Hermione arrived late.
"Oh my god, can someone tell me what all this commotion is?" Ron whispered to Hermione.
"Shut up, Ron." Hermione bumped Ron's arm hard.
Despite the distance between them, the little movements of the two did not escape Lamia's eyes, and even Harry saw it, although he did not look closely.
"Lamia, Ron and I are late. Sorry." Hermione was about to take Lamia's arm, but was scared away by Tom's look. She hesitated, but was finally pulled behind by Ron.
"Do you have any ideas for the second project?" Lamia finally spoke after a long time.
"I really can't think of what project this golden egg is related to." Hermione said distressedly, deliberately ignoring Tom who was eyeing Lamia on the other side.
"Maybe it has something to do with hatching eggs. Maybe your next project is to successfully hatch this golden egg." Ron expressed his thoughts, but unfortunately, no one thought this could be listed as the second project. Just from the degree of danger of the first project, it can be seen that the second project is definitely not much better.
"What about Harry, what do you think?" Hermione touched the silent Harry. He wanted to say something from the beginning, but he always hesitated when he was about to open his mouth.
"Lamia, maybe you could try going to the bathroom with me?" Harry pursed his lips, seeming very nervous.
"Heh." Behind the four of them, Tom, who had moved a sofa from somewhere, was sitting casually. After hearing what Harry said, a faint sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Lamia sighed. She knew that Tom was angry because she didn't introduce him and Harry also said he wanted to go to the bathroom with her.
Seeing that the atmosphere suddenly became deadlocked, Hermione didn't want Lamia to be embarrassed, so she smiled and pulled Harry behind her, isolating the two people who were confronting each other.
"Harry was wrong. He meant that we should go together. After all, more people means faster solutions. This is all for the sake of successfully passing the second task."
However, Hermione's words did not have much effect. Although Tom no longer looked at Harry, his expression did not relax much. He still maintained that posture, looking arrogantly at the somewhat silent Lamia. The invisible pressure made Lamia a little irritated.
"He's Tom." Lamia said calmly after the surroundings were quiet again. "He came to Hogwarts a week ago."
"Then what? Should we tell our relationship to your friends?" Tom suddenly put down his crossed legs, and the soft sofa disappeared right under their eyes.
He was the tallest among them, so much so that after standing up, Harry and the others had to look up to see Tom's expression.
Without exception, everyone could see that he was very unhappy.
"Tell me, sweetheart, don't you think we're close enough?"
These explicit words undoubtedly shocked Harry again and again. He looked at Lamia in astonishment, tears welling up in his eyes, and his expression was almost as if he was calling Lamia a liar.
"Tom is my...partner. Well, the situation is complicated. Anyway, we..." Lamia really didn't know how to admit her relationship with Tom in front of her friends.
